Happy Bday Deauty!

Hi my beloved readers, glad to have back :)

I'm happy you decided to read this blog post. You've probably read the title of this post, and yes, Deauty has already celebrated their 1st anniversary! YAY! Come to think about it, I'm already a proud owner of my own little spot on blogspot for over a year. Time flies by so fast!

If you haven't heard about Deauty before (click here to go to their website), it's basically a Belgian subscription service that allows you to test out make up and skincare products for an affordable fix price every single month.

The beauty box offers a variety of (drugstore) brands such as Avène, Essie, Clarins, L'Oréal, Kerastase and many more. On a monthly basis you receive about 4 to 6 products. Some of them are samples, but you often receive full size products which is always nice to test out.

Honestly, I still have products laying in my Deauty box because I haven't gotten the chance to test them out. But so far, I'm a pretty darn happy customer :)

I've already gifted a friend of mine a 3 month subscription and she was very pleased with it. It shows that you don't have to be a beauty geek to appreciate a beauty box.

Deauty, keep up the good work and I hope to see a lot more surprises of you in my letterbox! Congratulations with your 1st anniversary and I wish you a lot many more years to come! Hip hip hooray!!

Best of Deauty boxes

Glad to have you back there to pay my blog a visit :)

As you've read the title you're probably interested in this Deauty box. If you're not sure what it is exactly, please find here the link to my blog post to have some more information on it.

About a half year ago I discovered the Deauty box and ever since, I've been addicted to these little boxes that I decided to get a subscription on it.

I'm not going to review each and every product in each box, no. What I would like to do is share my favorite products of all 9 boxes I've received so far (although Deauty's success kicked off at September 2012, I only started Deautying in October 2012).

If you're interested in what's in every box, here's a sneak peek to all the products they've sent to their Deauties. I do have to say that they don't send out ALL the products that are being displayed on the picture. Depending on your beauty profile you have filled in, they'll send you products which will correspond to your needs the most. So don't think that they've ripped you off by giving you less products than displayed on their website. They're just showing you the collection of products they've chosen from to send over to your house.

Anyways, let's get this started, shall we?

Shu Uemura Art of Hair - Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Oil - 30ml

I think Shu Uemura is known for their 2 best selling products: their eye lash curler and their hair oil. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this little bottle in my first Deauty box!

I apply some of the oil on the ends of my hair after washing it, and nourishes the ends and gives a lovely shine to it. 

Make sure you don't apply too much to keep it light. For those with oily scalps, don't apply it near your roots.

 Kiehl's lip balm #1 - 15ml

This lip balm put Kiehl's on the map. It's a lovely translucent lip balm that will moisturize and give your lips a pretty gloss look. I've been using it ever since I received it, and if I keep on using a certain product, it's a definitely must have product!

Catrice Ultimate Color Lipstick 260 It's A Matte World

As Gwyneth Paltrow said: “Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.”

I never dared to buy a red lipstick. I'm still on the fence if I'm wearing my rather sheer red tinted lip balm, haha!

It has a very creamy texture which doesn't dry out the lips. I love that this is a matte lipstick, because honestly, you can make anything glossy if you want to, but not the other way around.

Although this is a drugstore product, I have to admit this is a great product to have received in my Deauty box!

There were many more products in the Deauty boxes, but I haven't had the opportunity to use all the products because it was just too many too try out :D

It's worth the spent money, because you get more valued products than you actually pay.
I'm really glad that I discovered this box. Hopefully many many years to come Deauty! :)

Hello everyone!

I'm sure you've all heard of Birchbox, the Little black Bag, the Ipsy Glam Bag, ... As a beauty freak I've read/saw tons and tons of reviews on these beauty boxes. These are subscriptions to a certain site where you pay a fix (and low!) amount of money and every month you'll get a box filled with beauty goodies in it. GREAT idea! Only downside? It's only for those beauties who live across the world! :(

Then, one day, I started reading the newspaper and saw a little add on the new Belgian beauty box, called Deauty.

Deauty stands for Discover Beauty. I didn't want to post anything about it before trying it out. In the meantime I've received 2 Deauty boxes, and I must admit...I'm pretty impressed by the goodies! Deauty mainly cooperates with brands such as Biotherm, Clarins, Essie, Kiehl's, Shu Uemura, ...)

Just make sure you create your own beauty profile (what type of skin, type of hair, ...) and you'll get your monthly box with approximately 4 to 6 beauty products. Sometimes I even received full size products, so I do think it's worth the money for trying out new goodies.

Here below you'll find the pictures of the boxes I received. Now, since I've already used most of my products, I had to use the pictures from their website www.deauty.be.

They've put ALL available products on these pictures. This means I didn't receive all these products. Depending on your beauty profile, you won't be able to try out products which aren't meant for your skin or hair.

• Paul Mitchell super skinny serum
• Nails polish corrector pen by Jean Marin (full size)
• L'Oréal Youth Code luminizer serum
• Clinique High Impact mascara

As for the quality, I must say they're pretty darn good :)
I'm sure I'll be continuing my subscription with them and maybe surprise a friend by gifting her Deauty boxes!

I'll try to review them as soon as I receive them, but I hope you understand I wanted to make sure they were good stuff before I post anything about it.
