NOTW: Buy Me A Cameo

Welcome back to my blog!

This week's nail of the week is one by Essie: Buy Me A Cameo.
I've been eying this polish for a few years and I just never picked it up when I was at an Essie shelf. The other day I was on a polish hunt (because apparently I'm just not satisfied by the gazillion other polishes I have laying around) and this polish caught my eye (again!).

I love anything rose gold, and this reminded me of a Orly's Rage minus the shimmer.
This varnish is a pretty rose gold polish, but it went on SO streaky. I applied 2 coats hoping it would give more of a flawless application, but unfortunately my topcoat didn't even help.

The polish has a subtle sheen to it, but even the sheen doesn't hide the hideous way of application, haha!

Although you can't see any streaks on the picture, here's a swatch of the gorgeous color:
Essie - Buy Me A Cameo
It's a shame I end up not liking this, because I heard so many people raving about this polish. I LOVE the color, but it'll take some time before I'll be reapplying this polish.

Do you happen to like this? Do you think I got a defective bottle? Tell me in the comment box bar below! :)

NOTW: Rage

Hi beauties!
I'm back with another NOTW and this week I went all out with shimmers :D

Orly - Rage
This is a beautiful rose gold polish with shimmers all over it. It's a hell of a ride to take it off, but darn in ... it's SO gorgeous!! It's from the Orly's Foil FX collection and it costs about 8,5$.

I've worn this 2 weeks in a row, I think that says more than enough how much I like it for a nail junkie like me :)

It's a beautiful polish for any fancy occasion, but just enough to give any outfit a little umpf.
This is definitely one of my favorite polishes!

NOTW: Orgasm

All beauties out there know that NARS has quite ... inappropriate names for their make up products, to say the least :)

One of their best seller's products is definitely their blush in Orgasm.
I have to admit, I don't own any NARS blushes because they're simply to expensive. But if I would ever splurge on one of their blushes, I'd probably try Deep Throat or Gilda.
Anyways, enough about their blushes. Let's talk polish!

I recently got the chance to try out NARS' polish in Orgasm:
Orgasm Orgasm Nail Polish
NARS - Orgasm

It's a peachy pink with golden shimmers to it.
Downside? I had to apply 3 coats to get it opaque as it is on the picture above...

Do I absolutely love this? Not really. They apply a bit sheer and I want something more opaque from the first coat.
Would I purchase it? No, I have similar colors to this and which I prefer over this NARS polish.

BUT: I did notice that dark colors by NARS apply wonderful by just 1 coat! So I do suggest trying out those darkies :)

NOTDs

Summer has passed by like nothing, leafs are changing colors and it's getting colder outside. Know what that means? Time to adjust polish to the season :)

Lately I've been into hot pinks, dark pinks, baby pink... in a nutshell: any pink polish have been my nails' best friend.

Here are some NOTDs:
Bourjois - Fuchsia Bucolique
1st up, Bourjois!
They've released gel formula polishes, and since I've heard god things about gel polishes, I wanted to try these since they're drugstores versions (yay, for lower price!)
This hot pink is actually quite good. It claims to dry up in 1 second. I wouldn't say 1 second, but it does dry quite fast, I must admit. Ow, and by the way, 1 coat is definitely enough :) I like!

Bourjois - Coral Magique
Another Bourjois gel formula polish. I don't really like this one for one particular reason: it's got gold shimmers in it. I'm not the shimmer kind of girl and I prefer my polishes opaquer as opaque :) It's a coral polish (and you all know I love my corals), but due to the shimmers in it I'm not  a big fan of this one. A shame, because it's the same formula as the polish mentioned above.
HEMA
Another polish from a local Belgian drugstore. It's hot pink polish, that needs 2 coats but has a beautiful opaque color. It's cheap, lovely color and stays on quite long. Right on!

OPI
If this isn't hot pink, I don't know what is! It's a gorgeous hot pink color from OPI, gifted by my friend. 1 coats does the job and stayed upto 5 days, muchos likos! :)

Catrice eyeshadow

After having the Maybelline 24 hour longlasting eyeshadow, Catrice has released a longlasting eyeshadow as well. I noticed they have all released colors with a metal finish such as bronze, silver, gold and bright colors.

Catrice - Lord of the Blings
I bought number 040, Lord of the Blings, a gold color. It's very creamy, blends well and dries instantly. I think this would make a great primer and/or all over lid color.

Catrice is known to be the European Wet 'n Wild brand. They're qualitative, yet cheap, YAY!

Must admit, there's a possibility that I'll be purchasing other colors as well :)

NOTW: Bourjois no16

Hi there!

A bit late with posting my picture up, but here's the color I've been wearing this week.

It's a gorgeous red with gold sparkles in it. It reminds me of Chanel's distraction because of the texture and subtle sparkles in it. This is definitely one of my favorite reds out there!

Here's a picture of the beautiful red by day.
Bourjois no16
And here's on took after wearing this for almost a week, by night.
You can see it has chipped around the cuticles, but overall... not bad at all!
Bourjois no16

The Bourjois polishes are pretty much available everywhere since they're a drugstore brand. Honestly, I've tried high end that can't last longer than this baby!

Without a doubt, for those red polish lovers, give this one a try! :)
